Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Roy Isamu Tsuya was born in Lihue, Kauai, Hawai'i in 1922. Roy fought in World War II, and he remained active in the community of Japanese-American veterans from the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, as well as serving as a Scout Master for many years. He married Wuta Tsuya (b. July 14, 1916) on November 4th, 1943, and together they had five children. They were both devote members of the LDS church and served on a missions to Japan. Wuta Terazawa Tsuya died on June 13, 2007.

Chiye "Chi" Terazawa (1914-2010) was born in Sugar City, Fremont County, Idaho. She served on a mission to the Japanese people of Hawai'i, and actively participated in the church for the rest of her life. Chiye founded Chi's Tour Travel Agency, which she ran for 50 years.

The second series contains one box and pertains mostly to Wuta Terazawa Tsuya's sister, Chiye Terazawa.
