Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Mass Media and Popular Culture program was a Group Contract sponsored by Tom Foote and Sam Schrager. This program focused on ethnography and the relationship between mass media and popular culture. It was a year long program spanning the 1988-1989 academic year: in fall the class focused on the interview and oral history, in winter the focus was moved to ethnographical studies, and in the spring the focus was on the presentation of materials.
