Mt. Logan Ski Club and Logan City recreation initiated Beaver Mountain in 1939 at the current location. Without a road into the area, skiers had to walk from Highway 89. As a result the tow was moved from Beaver Mountain to the Sinks. The tow operated at the sinks until 1945 when the city of Logan offered it for sale. The Seeholzers bought the tow and in 1946 moved it back to Beaver Mountain along with constructing an access road. The Seeholzer family continues to operate the tow today.
