Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Cliff Morris was born June 4, 1918. He joined the 46th General Hospital in 1942 after receiving medic training at the University of Oregon Medical School. He was transferred to Fort Riley, Kansas, for basic training where he worked in medical records, admissions and dispositions. Morris also served at the University of Nebraska in the Army Specialized Training Program and in the 97th Battalion as chief medical corpsman in Europe. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to Portland to work in the family-owned business.
