The Radiation Safety Section is a division of the University of Washington's Environmental Health and Safety Department. It has responsibility for human subjects approvals, non-ionizing radiation safety, personnel monitoring, radiation instrument calibration, radioactive materials authorization and procurement, radioactive materials safety, radioactive materials shipping and receiving, radioactive waste, and radiation machine and x-ray safety.
