Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Aaron Webster Greenawalt was born to Nathan Miller Greenawalt and Mary Hawk Greenawalt in Pennsylvania around 1913. He married Helen McLintock Carruth in Detroit, Michigan on June 29, 1940. The couple relocated to Montana in the 1940s and eventually settled in Missoula. Greenawalt managed Olney Motors and eventually had his own shop, Greenawalt Motors, in Missoula. He and Helen divorced and he married Edna Fornshell in May 1962. Aaron Greenawalt passed away on October 10, 1995.

This collection contains three 16mm reels of film from Greenawalt's personal collection of home movies from around the Missoula, Montana area and Glacier National Park. All of the films are in color with no sound. Film descriptions were included with the original inventory.
