Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Harlan H. Edwards (1893-1975) was a civil engineer in Seattle and Claremont, California. He served as Technical Editor of Pacific Builder and Engineermagazine from 1943-1946, and contributed numerous articles to it and other trade magazines. After the Seattle earthquake of 1949, Edwards was chairman of the Earthquake Committee. He also served as president of the Seattle Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1954. He contributed to the Century 21 Exposition for the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. He also received patents for a system of roofing and siding called Holdtite. Edwards' first wife Myrtle Edwards served on the Seattle City Council from 1955 to 1969.
