The Alexander Faddies diaries (1894-1939) were kept by Faddies while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Ireland. Alexander Faddies (1876-1962) was set apart for an LDS mission to Great Britain on 1 May 1896, and arrived in Liverpool on 20 May 1896. He was assigned to serve in the Irish Conference. Both diaries contain descriptions of his mission activities, although the diary dating from 1894 to 1939 also contains blessings, quotations, and ideas on various topics. The first diary contains a transcription of the patriarchal blessing that Faddies received in 1894. Both diaries are photocopies of the originals. The original 1894-1897 diary is located in the Manuscripts Division Reserve Collection and can only be viewed with permission from the division curator.
