Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Philip Douglas Macbride was born in 1887. He served as director and chairman of the Board of Pacific American Fisheries, ca. 1950s-1960s. He was president of the Washington State Bar Association in 1953 and served on its Committee on Legal Ethics from 1953-1955. He was president of the English-speaking Union, Seattle Branch, 1954-1955. He was married to Frances Waltemeyer. Macbride died in 1965.

One journal, "Trip to Europe, 1937", is the journal of Mrs. Frances Waltemeyer Macbride (his wife). The other, undated, is called "H. in Switzerland", but the author is unidentified.
