Scope and Content: Letter 1985, speech 1981, writing (booklet) 1926, undated clipping. Photocopy of writing "History of the Jews in Spokane, Washington" by Moses Janton, 1926. Speech given by Eugene Huppin at the Spokane Jewish Centennial Service in 1981, "The Second Fifty Years." Clipping and letter also give historical background of Spokane Jewish community. 2 silk scarves.

Scope and Content: Tape recorded interview covering the years 1940-2005, taken on July 1, 2005; transcript. Mr. Huppin discusses his youth in Spokane, including his activities with Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA). He also talks about the creation of Temple Beth Shalom, and the Jewish community in Spokane. He also describes some of the Rabbis of Spokane.

Scope and Content: In this interview Eugene Huppin discusses the history of his family and their business, Huppin’s Hi Fi, in Spokane. He also recalls other early Jewish businesses located in downtown Spokane. Huppin studied at the University of Washington and practiced law for over 50 years. He recalls his early days as an attorney. He describes the merging of Congregation Keneseth Israel with Temple Beth Shalom. Finally, he describes his and his wife’s involvement with Jewish organizations, including Camp Solomon Schechter.
