Letter from Reuben Weeks, Captain of the Enterprise, to Captains Daniel Bunker (of the Tonquin), Peter Paddock (of the Hydasphe?), Samuel Tripp (of the Parcia), Tristram Jordan (of the brig Diligence) and Moucham Jarvis (of the U.S.S. Peacock), 1 p, 16 August 1825, requesting that they inspect the Ship Enterprise and determine if it is able to attempt the voyage home from Port Coquimbo. Included is their signed statement that the ship is too decayed to make the voyage without repairs.
