Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The Peter J. Christofferson papers consist of photocopies of his memoir "Prison Life in the Detroit House of Correction," a poem entitled "At the Golden Gates," and "Pioneer Life of Peter J. Christofferson," written by Joseph L. Christopherson. The material does not contain many dates. The biographical sketch tells, very generally, of his experiences as a pioneer. The document concerning prison life describes the outcome of Christofferson's 1884 trial for unlawful cohabitation before Judge Sumner Howard in Prescott, Arizona.
