Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Charles C. Redeker was born in Park Ridge, Illinois on October 4th, 1919. He moved to Seattle in the mid-1930s and called it his home thereafter, minus several stints during WWII in the Army National Guard and Air Force (S/Sgt USAF 1941-1945). After the war he spent several years as a watchmaker (1946-1957) for which he is fondly remembered by his family, both for the beauty of the watches he worked on and for the methodical process that he utilized in all aspects of his life. Following his watchmaking career he pursued and obtained a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (1965) which led to him teaching Engineering courses and Computer Languages at the University of Washington for more than two decades, retiring as an Assoc. Prof. Emeritus.
