Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Lorman G. Murray was an engineer who built bridges and roads across Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and British Columbia. He also built the catapult ramp for Nat Browne's Fokker Universal airplane, the "Lone Star" which was attempting a flight to Tokyo. He was the father of Ray M. Murray who was the engineer for the floating bridge across Lake Washington.
