Seattle feminist.
Erika D. Gottfried was born in approximately 1954. She became active
in the women's liberation movement as a teenager and was a member of the group
Women's Liberation Seattle. Gottfried graduated from the University of
Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1976. She has written
several unpublished biographical and historical works on women in the
Northwest.
The papers are arranged by type of document.
The collection consists primarily of Gottfried's student papers on
women's history, newsletters from feminist organizations, and feminist-related
ephemera, 1968-1976.
The papers are open to all users.
Erika Gottfried has retained the literary rights to her papers.
