Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Wendy Marcus (1958- ), musician, reporter, and author. Marcus has reported for the Seattle Times, Vancouver Columbian, and University of Washington Daily. In 1983, Marcus co-founded a klezmer band, the Mazeltones, in which she performed for sixteen years. She later worked with the music program at Temple Beth Am in Seattle. Marcus is the author of Polyglot: Stories from the West's Wet Edge and the editor of Drash: Northwest Mosaic.

1 cd and 1 transcript from oral history interview conducted by Judith Adler and Steve Adler on July 28, 2010. The material covers her family history, including the story of how her grandparents were brought to Sweden during World War II. Much of the interview is spent on Marcus' musical development, musical influences, and work with various musicians and bands. Marcus also discusses her work with Temple Beth Am and its literary journal, Drash: Northwest Mosaic.
