The Guernsey-Newton Company was an insurance firm, founded in Spokane, Washington, and which moved to Seattle in 1925. The company was later absorbed by the Continental Casualty Company in 1929.

The founders of Guernsey-Newton were O. E. Guernsey, H. W. Newton, W. H. Mariner, A. M. Riley, and Fred J. Dibble.

The collection (1909-1921) consists of a record book, and a folder of loose papers removed from the record book.

The record book contains stockholder's and Board of Trustee's minutes, articles of incorporation, by-laws, treasurer's reports, correspondence, motions, and amendments to the articles of incorporation.

The loose papers consist of a 1925 amendment to the articles, a 1925 financial statement, correspondence regarding losses suffered by the company and the death of H. W. Newton in 1927, a profit and loss report from 1927, a graphical chart showing production changes from 1920 to 1928, and a draft of the "memo of agreement" between Continental Casualty and Guernsey-Newton, in 1929.
