Mr. Stone recounts the adventures and misadventures of "Dumb Duke", his well-known hunting dog and ends with an account of the creation of the "Dumb Duke Memorial Park (a practical joke in which Mr. Stone solicits money for the park, a fireplug park for dogs to be constructed on his front lawn, since that is the local dogs' favorite watering place. )
