Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Hope Mining Company was incorporated under Montana law on April 20, 1907, by the owners of the Goodhope Mining Company and the Granite- BiMetallic Consolidated Mining Company, including Paul Fusz, John R. Lucas, Horace Rumsey, A.B. Ewing, L.M. Rumsey, and others. They acquired the property of the Goodhope Mining Company. The new company was capitalized at $300,000 compared to $90,000 for the old company. This company operated the Hope property until 1911 when they sold it to the new Philipsburg Mining Company. The company was formally dissolved in 1913.
