4 notebooks of translated transcriptions; 3 sound cassettes; 9 microfiches

Scope and Content: Photoduplicated notebooks, microfiche and audio cassettes of field interviews conducted in Spokane Salish; final research report; 1971-1972.

Pauline Flett, a native speaker of Spokane Salish, transcribed and translated the material from ten tapes collected by the donor in the 1970s. This material filled four notebooks which were photoduplicated and copied onto microfiche prior to deposit. Duplicates of tapes 73, 87, and 92 are also included.

Scope and Content: Narrative texts translated from the Spokane language and transcribed by Pauline Flett. These texts are photocopies of Carlson's Notebook 5 (corresponds to Tapes 8, 9, and 15) and Notebook 6 (corresponds to Tapes 17 and 18), recorded about 1971. No tapes are present in this accession --only Notebooks 5 and 6; 1997-1998.
