Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (1902-1968) was a Hindustani classical vocalist from Punjab, British India (present-day Pakistan). Bade Ghulam learned vocal music from his paternal uncle as a child and later from his father. He was known for his excellent light-hearted ragas and the new compositions he created under the pen name Sabrang. In 1962, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan Award.
