Biographical NoteReturn to Top
The National Organization for Women (NOW), which was founded in 1966, is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States and works to achieve equality for women. The organization focuses on six key issues including reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination, promoting diversity and ending racism, economic justice, stopping violence against women, and lesbian rights. The Thurston County Chapter recieved its official charter in January 1986.
