Scope and Content: Two audiocassettes featuring Cantor Chaim Gottlieb and other singers in concerts of Jewish music.

The 1962 concert was in honor of Jewish Music Month at Bikur Cholim and was sponsored by the Couples Group. A note on the tape lists participants as Sol Birulin, Kurt Steinbrecher, a soprano, the choir, and Cantor Gottlieb. Tape 747B is of Cantor Gottlieb alone, 1966 and 1987.

Scope and Content: The interview covers Reva Twersky's recollections from the mid and late 1920's to about the mid-1940's. Reva talks about the area of Seattle where she lived on Jackson Street near 27th Avenue. Reva takes the reader and listener from that part of Jackson down toward First Avenue. She identifies various stores and businesses on or near Jackson and discusses how they related to the life of the Jewish community and the larger community of that area.

Reva focuses much of her account on her father, Mr. Ketzlach, who founded a department store named "Mr. Thrifty" located on 2311 Jackson. She describes her father's highly ethical business practices, his relationship with his customers, and the way he interacted with the larger competitors such as Masin's and Schain's department stores located nearby.

Scope and Content: Contains personal and family papers including some clippings and correspondence from Twersky's work as Seattle area correspondent to the National Jewish Post. Materials also include Twersky's memoir "In the Footsteps of my Grandmother" and a compilation of speeches from Reva's son, Rabbi David Twersky, commemorating events in the Twersky family as well as the Seattle Jewish community. In her memoir, Twersky recounts her family's activities in the Seattle Jewish community, her parents' management of Thrifty Department Store, and her time at Garfield High School and Hillel at University of Washington.
