Mads Christensen was a Danish convert to the LDS Church. He became a polygamist and was arrested for unlawful cohabitation on 13 February 1888. He served a seven month prison term.

The Mads Christensen papers (1888) consist of a copy of an autograph book given to Christensen by fellow LDS polygamist prisoners in the Utah Penitentiary. The autographs are mostly poems, although some of the ninety-one authors just signed their names and addresses. Also included in the collection is Christensen's citizenship certificate.
