Includes Washington Benevolent Association records and minutes of the Portland, Seattle, and Tacoma Building Trades Councils.

Arrangement: The records have been divided into two record groups according to creator:
  • RECORD GROUP 1: CARPENTERS AND JOINERS OF AMERICA, LOCAL 131
  • RECORD GROUP 2: WASHINGTON BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION.
RECORD GROUP 1 is divided into seven series and subseries to reflect the records formats and activities of the union. As well, this record group has two subgroups that reflect the creating committee within Carpenters Local 131.
