Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Eula Lee Merrill was Vice Chairman of the Western Zone Billboard and Roadside Committee of the Garden Clubs of America up to 1929. In 1930, she became the first Chairman of the Washington State Council for the Protection of Roadside Beauty, and served in that capacity for several years. She was the wife of lumberman Richard Dwight Merrill.
