Deanna Dicomes was a leader of the King County Government Operations Task Force for the King County Energy Planning Project, active as planning coordinator and Board member of Puget Sound Health Systems Agency, director and Board member of King County Health Planning Council, Board member of Common Cause and Common Cause of Washington, Municpal League of Seattle and King County, Council of Planning Affliates, Northwest Power Planning Council Target Seattle (1982), and other organizations.
