Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The collection consists of three typescript narrative reminisces by Mitchell; the original handwritten copy for one is also present. “When Just a Pup” tells the story of his early childhood. “The Era of the Cowpuncher” gives more details of the work that he and his father did and gives comparisons between the lives of the early cowboys and the lives of those in the late 1960s. “The Steer That Wouldn’t Go to Market” tells the story of a stubborn cow with which he worked.
