Janet Dana Twight was a member of the Facilities Review Committee of the King County Health Planning Council and active in the parent organization, the Puget Sound Health Systems Agency. The King County Health Planning Council, a private non-profit corporation, is dedicated to the improvement and promotion of the health of the residents of King County. In 1979-1980 the role of KCHPC underwent changes as a result of the restructuring of PSHSA. Twight was also a member of Pro/Parks, a 44 person Citizens Committee For Study of Parks, Recreation and Open Space which was appointed in September 1980 by elected officials of Seattle, King County and suburban cities and which served through Dec. 1981.
