Historical NoteReturn to Top

Our Vision, Our Voices: a Mormon Women's Literary Tour was conceived as a collaboration between two academics in 2008, when Dr. Joanna Brooks contacted Dr. Holly Welker about the possibility of forming a tour to create a space for Latter-day Saint women of diverse experiences and backgrounds to articulate the richness of their shared tradition and its future. In the process of creating this vision, they contacted many other Latter-day Saint authors who joined them in presenting literary works at the campuses of five major universities in March of 2010. Throughout this effort, emphasis was placed on the inclusion of notable and emerging authors from all corners of the vast strata of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, those who are both practicing and non-practicing LDS, FLDS and RLDS.
