Scope and Content: Correspondence, speeches and writings, subject files, statistics, mainly 1930-1940.

Focus is upon the banking and agricultural credit crisis of early 1930s, and upon history of banking in Washington state. Correspondence is often with local bankers about local conditions. Includes material on federal land banks, bank liquidations and bank failures, branch banking, consumer credit, savings and loan associations, and federal banking regulatory agencies.

Restrictions on Access: Open to all users.

Restrictions on Use: Creator's literary rights not transferred to the University of Washington Libraries.

Acquisition Info: Deposited by Mrs. Preston April 27, 1954. Reprocessed and reduced to current size in 1984 and assigned new number, 1954-04-27
