The Clarence Barrows papers (1824-1950) consist of family correspondence, three nineteenth and twentieth century patriarchal blessings and genealogical information culled from the Maine Historical and Genealogical Recorder. Particularly noteworthy are letters which Clarence and his brother Charlie wrote during the Civil War recounting their military experiences.
