Ray Meuse worked as an engineer for many years, and in 1987 began to pursue his passion for photography full time. Kenneth Callahan was a noted 20th century Abstract Expressionist painter, one of the founders of the Northwest School.

This collection documents two sets of murals by Kenneth Callahan. One is located in the cafeteria at the Weyerhauser Mill (Wood Products Division) and was completed in 1944. The other is located in the Seattle Center Playhouse and completed in 1961.
