Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Rachel A. Woods was born on June 20, 1900 to James M. Woods and Flora A. Goodenough, and was a 1923 Liberal Arts Graduate of the University of Washington. She died on October 16, 1997. In 1998, her estate funded the Rachel A. Woods Professorship in Reforestation, the James and Flora Woods Scholarship Fund, and the Rachel A. Woods Graduate School Fund.

Photographs of Rachel A. Woods who graduated from the University of Washington in 1923. The photographs are portraits of her at various stages of life from childhood to old age. Several photographs show her as a teenager with long hair almost to the ground. Some of the photographs are duplicate prints.
