The Office of Facilities and Construction is responsible for maintaining oversight of the physical arrangements for School of Medicine academic departments and programs, new construction, remodels, moves, and leased offsite facilities. The office also participates in space planning for the Health Sciences Building and the University of Washington Medical Center.

Scope and Content: Construction files (1980-1994), including correspondence, plans, printouts, publications, and blueprints. The files are arranged alphabetically by project.
These records document additions and changes made to the Health Sciences Building between 1980 and 1994, notably several large projects: AA-Wing renovations, G-Wing additions, NN-Court construction, T-Court construction, and the acquisition and housing of positron emission tomography (PET) equipment. A number of studies undertaken by Perkins and Will consultants are also included.

Notable projects include: Fluke Hall Molecular Biotechnology Phase IB; the Williams Chair HVAC modifications; Keck Foundation laboratories; the H Wing 1st, 2nd and 4th floor renovations; and the T Court laboratories.
