Werner Heinz Horn (1926-2003) was born in Forst, Germany. His father was Carl Horn. He arrived in Seattle through Illinois in 1946. He married his cousin Edith in 1952.

Tape recorded interview, covering the years 1930-2000, summary and transcript, and photograph
Werner Horn talks about his youth in Nazi Germany in the 1930's, Kristallnacht, his family, and their escape to Ecuador in 1939. He describes the voyage, and his family's new life in Ambato, Ecuador. Werner talks about his family's immigration to the United States, specifically Seattle, in 1946. He talks about his early work in Seattle, his service during the Korean War, and his marriage to Edith Horn. Werner also talks about his own business making supplies for the food industry.
