Biographical NoteReturn to Top

David Streatfield is a widely recognized historian of landscape architecture. He is a professor emeritus in the department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington, where he taught from 1971 to ca. 2012, and served as department chair from 1992 to 1996. Streatfield was born and raised in England, and received his Diploma in Architecture at Brighton College of the Arts and Crafts in 1956; he earned a Certificate in Landscape Architecture at University College, University of London, in 1962; and earned his Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania in 1966.
