Sandra Boehmler was born on May 5, 1955 and was raised in Missoula, Montana. She graduated from Hellgate High School in 1973 and attended Whitman College for a total of eight semesters between fall of 1973 and her graduation in December, 1978. Boehmler lived in La Maison Francaise, Jewett Hall, Lyman House, and an off-campus house on Rose Street over the course of her time at Whitman. She also spent a semester living in France while studying abroad.
The Sandra Boehmler Scrapbooks houses the scrapbooks of Sandra Boehmler, a Whitman graduate of 1978. This collection, which dates from 1972 to 1979, consists of two scrapbooks, evidencing Boehmler's life from her senior year of high school in 1972 to her final year of college in 1978. The scrapbooks provide insight into various aspects of student life at Whitman College in the 1970s, including the creation of a women's soccer team right after Title IX was passed, studying abroad, and residential life.
