John. M. Knight established the New England Undertaking Company in Spokane in 1905. He operated the business in conjuction with a furniture making establishment until his death in 1929, when the undertaking company was mered with the Ball-Bumgarner-Swanson Funeral Home.
The collection consists of ten volumes of funeral records arranged in chronological order, covering all years of operation.
