Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Edward T. Osborn, architect and inventor, worked actively in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest between 1910-1930. The buildings and interiors he designed display his ability to move easily between different architectural periods, whether Tudor, Gothic or Renaissance. Osborn also designed bathtub related inventions, and new construction techniques.

The collection consists of photographs of architectural perspectives and elevations by Osborn as an architect and also as draftsman. Other architects represented include Houghton, Priteca, O'Brien, Roberts (Earl), and Wheatley. Projects are located in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, California and Vancouver, B.C. (including Pantages Theater, Los Angeles). The remaining photographs are of unidentified projects or personal photographs belonging to Osborn. All circa 1910s-1920s.
