Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Alma J. Lindsey was born 28 February 1881 in Ogden, Utah. In 1899 he went on a mission to Germany. On his return he continued work with John W. Scoweroft and Sons Company in Ogden, which he had begun before leaving for his mission. He moved to Salt Lake around 1914 and worked for the Utah Wholesale Grocery Company. After World War I, he became manager of the Dooley Warehouse. He married Isabelle Pike Lewis on 25 July 1924. In 1941 he owned and operated his own warehouse business. He was a member of the Utah-Idaho Warehouse Association, the Salt Lake Kiwanis Club, and the Salt Lake Transportation Club. He died 17 March 1949 of a coronary blockage.
