Bainbridge Island - North Kitsap Jewish Chavurah was first called simply The Gathering and later Chavurah, the Jewish Gathering. January 6, 1981 was the date of the first issue of its newsletter. On October 31, 1989 it became formally incorporated under the name Bainbridge Island - North Kitsap Jewish Chavurah.
