Scope and Content: Tape-recorded interview by M. Kaplan and J. Schrieber, 7/10/78.

The interview with Betty Mae Raport Faghin ("Timmie") gives history and information on many topics which include: remedial reading program in public schools, School for Community Action, Towards an Open Society, Sunday Religion School classes for mentally handicapped children at Temple de Hirsch, Explorer Senior Scouts founding the Career Information Service (vocational counselling in high schools), Harborview Project, Women in Community Service, processing girls for Job Corps, work with blind infants, about volunteering, work at the Kline Galland Home, Women's Awareness and the Sholom Wagon. She mentions Bernice Stern, Barbara Kaner, Bernice Coyne, and Mrs. Henry Kotkins.
