Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Susan Tanenbaum Stern (1943-1976) wrote With the Weathermen : the personal journal of a revolutionary woman, published in 1975. A graduate of the University of Washington, Stern became a political activist. She was a member of Students for a Democratic Society, the Weathermen, the Seattle Liberation Front, and other anti-Vietnam War groups. She was tried for conspiracy as one of the Seattle Seven in 1970.

With the Weathermen. Includes letters from Susan Stern and her brother, Roger Tanenbaum, to their mother, Bernice (Bunny), cards, photographs and other family memoralia.
