21 albums containing 1,723 photographs, 84 postcards and 21 gravure prints depicting images of Alaska, 1897-1940s.

Three of the albums are devoted to Valdez, three albums to Nome, two albums to Eskimos and Native Americans, one album to mining, two albums to ships; the rest are devoted to general subject matter concerning Alaska. Various localities noted: Nome, Sitka, Unalaska, Skagway, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Valdez, Kodiak, Ketchikan among others. The albums also represent activities and subjects such as whaling, canneries, dogsledding, packtrains, homesteading, mining including the Nome Gold Rush, hunting, Captain Roald Amundsen expedition, natural scenery, flora and fauna, and the Katmai Volcano eruption. Native Americans represented include Eskimos, Copper River Natives, Siwash, Nenena, Sitka, Stik, Yukon River, Yakutt, and Seldovia Indians.
