The British ship HMT Rohnawas the target of a German air assualt in 1943 and sank into the Mediterranean Sea with 2,200 men aboard. The film includes interviews with survivors, historic footage and photographs, along with reenactments. 1,015 US troops were killed in the disaster and 606 men were saved by the " USS Pioneer" .
