Historical NoteReturn to Top
David Albert Valentine (1934-2001) was a student at the University of Washington in the 1950s. He was a journalism major, a writer for the University of Washington Daily, and a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Valentine was also the ASUW first vice president and belonged to the Purple Shield, the underclassmen's activities honorary. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1956.
Valentine married a fellow University of Washington student, Leslie Jeanne Foelkner, and had a daughter, Lisa. Valentine's parents, Esther Muriel Melby and Albert Lorraine Valentine, both attended the University of Washington in the 1920s.
