Tape-recorded interview covering the years 1900-1975, conducted by Meta Kaplan, January 27, 1975.
Mr. Walkow discusses the history of Lithuania, the Lithuanian language and his life in the city of Vishtinetz prior to World War I. He describes the city's bristle industry, life in Vishtinetz during WWI, and the peace negotiations at San Remo. He also discusses his experiences during WWII, his immigration to Seattle via Vancouver, B.C. and the Skilled Labor Act.
