The collection contains fifteen large photographs depicting a variety of sites, including religious buildings such as temples, mosques, and shrines, as well as commercial and domestic architecture, on the west coast of India. Many of the sites depicted are in or around Ahmadābād. At least one of the photographs was taken by the well-known photographer Henry Cousens, who took many pictures of Indian architecture during the last few years of the 19th century.
