Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Neil Fullerton, a native of Lawton, Oklahoma, was born February 13, 1903. He received a forestry degree from Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa. After graduation Fullerton worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Utah and later in Montana. He served three years in the Navy during World War II. He returned to the Forest Service following the war and worked in Thompson Falls, Montana, until his death on May 20, 1968. During his spare time Fullerton researched the history of northwestern Montana. He helped to survey and locate Saleesh House, an early trading post on the Clark Fork River.
